Vaplas invests in state of the art inspection equipment

Yorkshire based company Vaplas is a leading UK manufacturer of high-quality CNC machined plastic and aluminium parts established in 1993. The company also manufacture fabricated tanks and machine guards for a range of industries. 

Vaplas have experienced their most successful year this year and will continue to do this with their recent investments. 

Demands are ever growing and technologies moving even faster in the industry, they are increasing their capacity by investing in two new state of the art DMG Mori Universal Turning Centres, growing their machining shop to three powerful DMG machines, with a worth of around £150,000.

The new benchmark in universal turning with a direct measuring system in standard (X- or X-/Y-axis)

  • More efficiency for machining with a bar feeder
  • Compact design with a large working area for the machining of customised parts
  • 3D controls with the unique 19" multi-touch control panel and SIEMENS or 15" SLIMlineand FANUC

The company's latest investments include the Keyence Image Dimension Measurement System joining their Quality and Inspection Department. 

Managing Director Jason Howell is excited about the investment and has said: 

"The latest equipment is a game-changer for us in the Inspection Department as it is capable of visually inspecting several small machined parts in seconds and creating the relevant reports". 

This newly added system has quick and accurate inspection times, increasing the company's productivity and customer satisfaction.
